Orlando, the Happiest Place on Earth… literally!
Today, the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau celebrated World Smile Day. The event was held in conjunction with the opening of the new Amway Center here in Orlando and the Push team, along with people from all over the world, attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the largest smiley face made out of people.
Orlando gave Baltimore (the current record holders) a run for their money with an impressive turnout! Decked out in stylish ponchos, both black and yellow, the volunteers swarmed the rooftop of the Amway Center’s parking garage.
In addition to breaking the world record, the Orlando CVB had a loftier goal in mind. The event brought attention to the Smile Train organization, which provides free surgery for children with cleft lips and palates in third world countries.
