Since its humble beginnings in the late 1800s, Asbury Park, New Jersey has been the cat’s pajamas, the bee’s knees and most certainly as fine as cream gravy, to quote the vernacular of the time. In the 1970s and 1980s, it was the launching pad for some of America’s top rock bands, including Bruce Sprinsteen and Bon Jovi. But just like the scent of aerosol hair spray fades, so did the allure of Asbury Park and its famed boardwalk. Today Madison Marquette is working hard to rekindle the public's love affair with the Jersey Shore by redeveloping the famous boardwalk and bringing the charm back to Asbury Park.
